First and foremost I hope anyone reading this blog is healthy and safe. That is the number one priority. COVID 19 has changed the way we all work, and like all of you I have had to adapt my business to the "new reality". I put a lot of thought into how I could continue to provide my service to you safely. As a result I've upgraded my promise to you:

"A great product, at a great price, with great and safe service"

To fulfill this promise I've upgraded my estimating/installation process to safeguard you and I, made my initial estimate "contact free", and created a new installation protocol.

Step 1: The "contact free" estimate:

Simply call me at 289-981-2829 to receive it. All you will need is your cell phone, a tape measure and 15 minutes of your time. When you call I'll pull up a Google Maps Streetview image of your home. This gives me an idea of what I am working with.

Then, together we'll go through the number and sizes of the windows you need. After we're done I'll get back to you the same day via email with an estimate.

Step 2: You decide if you want to proceed with an order:

If you want to proceed we then book a time for me to come to your home to do a "final" measurement. It will take about 30 minutes and I do the measurements from inside the house.

When I arrive at your home I will be wearing gloves and a mask. When you answer the door I will step back 6 feet. Before entering your home I will put a new and sanitized protective sleeve over my footwear.

When I enter your home I will not need to touch anything as long as you have moved any furniture away from any windows that I need to measure.

If you have high windows, I will bring a sanitized ladder into your house (with santized protective sleeves on its "feet").

The ladder is an "A" frame ladder which will not lean on/touch anything.

I will wipe down with a disinfecting sanitizer, any glass that I do touch.

Step 3: Confirming your order via email/payment of deposit/ placing of order:

After I leave I will put together the final quote (which should be the same as the original estimate - just with more precise sizing), which I email to you same day for you to review. You then agree via email that you want to proceed and send me the deposit (50% of the value of the order).

Once I have received the deposit, I place the order.

It will take approximately 4-6 weeks for the glass to be delivered to me. The window glass I use comes from a factory in the U.S., from a company called Cardinal - the best window glass in the business!

Step 4: Installation:

Once I receive the glass I will call you to schedule the installation. Installation time depends on the number and size of windows. Ten windows of 18" x 42" size would typically take about 1.5 hours to install.

On the day of the installation, I will use the same protocol as for Step 2 above when arriving at your home. The only difference is I may bring a helper if necessary (my father). Additionally, when bringing the glass into the house I utilize our "glass out/glass in" protocol (each piece of glass is brought into the house individually) which minimizes contact with surfaces. The glass is removed from the window (we dispose of all glass), never touches the ground or any surface, and the new glass is brought in and placed directly in the frame. We typically do not even touch the window frame and all glass is sanitized after installation.

We are very clean - you won't know we've been there (other than your clear new glass)!

If you have any questions relating to our new processes, please do not hesitate to ask. Working together we will get through this challenging time.

Stay safe!
